My name is Cleveland Cawthon and I am a philosopher. If my description sounds a bit like the introduction to an alcoholics anonymous meeting its because I, like those who often blame the piano for their transgressions, am thoroughly hooked to ideas (especially my own) and to the sound of my own voice relaying them for all the world to bask in.

Recently, I have lost a bit of the UMPH I used to have. Three years of college at the University of Arizona has left me apathetic and more cynical towards the world than I have ever been. I hope to use this blog to rekindle whatever flame I have had or to start a new one in the form of something else. I used to have ambitions. I liked that.

So here's the deal: my focus is political philosophy. I want to post and discuss all things relating to this topic, however remotely, and to help others sort through their thoughts on the subject while simultaneously helping myself. If you have anything to post, feel free to do it. Anything to say, feel free to say it.

Some Housekeeping

So yeah, I’ve started a Tumblr account.  I’m assuming that if you are reading this you have either already noticed or are incredibly bewildered by most things with even the slightest of moving parts…either way, consider yourself forever welcome and I, forever grateful to have you aboard. I do not intend on getting much use out of this account at first.  I no longer regularly turn on my computer though I am told this will change as I begin to nose-dive into the crack addiction that is this website. Addiction runs in the family so consider me as good as hooked.  I will have an update for you by tonight (most likely) somewhat depicting my grand image of the message and outcome I hope to achieve here. You will learn that I am terribly forgetful, sometimes selectively so, so do not be terribly offended if I forget about you for a week.
